Compositae sau Asteraceae) cu denumirea popular\u00e3 dracon, tarcon, tacon, tarcum este o plant\u0103 semilemnoas\u0103, peren\u0103, legumicol\u0103, condimentar\u0103, medicinal\u0103, originar\u0103 din Siberia \u015fi Mongolia \u0219i cunoscut \u00eenc\u00e3 din antichitate.<br \/>\nTarhonul a fost introdus \u00een Europa \u00een sec XVI \u0219i este cultivat pe suprafe\u0163e restr\u00e2nse, are o r\u0103d\u0103cin\u0103 sub\u0163ire, ramificat\u0103, ad\u00e2nc\u0103 p\u00e2n\u0103 la 40 cm,tulpin\u00e3 ascendent\u00e3,ramificat\u00e3, \u00eenalt\u0219 de 50-100 cm,frunze lanceolate, lungi de 2-10 cm, puternic aromate,flori albe, galbene, brun-violet.<br \/>\nTarhonul \u00eenflore\u0219te \u00een lunile august-septembrie,este cultivat pentru uzul culinar, ca salat\u0103 verde, aromatizant al m\u00e2nc\u0103rurilor.<br \/>\nArtemisia dracunculus con\u0163ine esdragol, meticavicol, flavonozide, folandren, cumarine, acimen,tanin, substan\u0163e amare, urme de iod, vitaminele: B1, C, s\u0103ruri minerale.<br \/>\nDin punct de vedere farmacologic are efect de stimulare asupra apetitului \u015fi digestiei, f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103 irite, are propriet\u0103\u0163i aperitive, digestive, amelioreaz\u00e3 constipa\u0163ia,este un bun remediu pentru insomnii, diuretic, fluidific\u0103 secre\u0163iile bronhice, expectorant, antiseptic, aperitiv, aromatizant, vermifug.<br \/>\nSe poate folosi la ameliorarea afec\u0163iunilor renale, digestive, hepatice, respiratorii, nervoase.<br \/>\nFrunzele verzi se folosesc ca aromatizant \u00een sosuri, salate de verde\u0163uri.
