Berberidaceae ) este un arbust spinos, \u00eenalt p\u00e2n\u0103 la 3 m, cu flori galbene cultivat adesea ca gard viu. Ramurile sunt muchiate, cenu\u0219iu galbui, cu spini plamat trifurca\u021bi, lungi de 1-2 cm. Frunzele sunt ovat eliptice, la v\u00e2rf rotunjite sau acute, scurt pe\u021biolate, nerva\u021biune reticulat\u0103.Fructul este o bac\u0103 ro\u0219ie av\u00e2nd forma unor boabe ro\u0219ii. Berberis vulgaris \u00eenflore\u0219te \u00een mai-iunie<br \/>\nDenumirea  popular\u00e3  a acestei plante este de acril, agri\u0219, c\u0103tin\u0103 de r\u00e2uri, cloceni, carle\u0219, dracin\u0103, dr\u0103jin\u0103, glojdan, holer\u0103, lemn-galben, m\u0103cri\u0219 boieresc, m\u0103cri\u0219 de r\u00e2uri, m\u0103cri\u0219ul caprei, m\u0103cri\u0219 spinos.<br \/>\nSe poate folosi scoar\u021ba, r\u0103d\u0103cina, fructele \u0219i frunzele- Berberis hertba, Berberis cortex, Berberis folium.<br \/>\nSe recolteaz\u00e3 pentru scopuri terapeutice,scoar\u021ba de pe r\u0103d\u0103cin\u0103 \u0219i tulpini (Cortex Berberidis) \u0219i se usuc\u0103.
