Semin\u0163ele germineaz\u0103 la 3 &#8211; 4\u00b0C \u015fi pot r\u0103m\u00e2ne \u00een sol peste iarn\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103-\u015fi piard\u0103 viabilitatea. \u00cen faza de rozet\u0103, poate rezista la temperaturi de -10\u00b0C, dac\u0103 solul este acoperit cu z\u0103pad\u0103. Pentru cre\u015ftere, are nevoie de 14 &#8211; 15\u00b0C, iar temperatura prea ridicat\u0103 determin\u0103 emiterea tijei florale.<br \/>\nNu este preten\u0163ios fa\u0163\u0103 de lumin\u0103, iar calitatea frunzelor este mai bun\u0103 la intensit\u0103\u0163i moderate ale luminii. \u00cen sol are nevoie de ap\u0103 \u00een cantitate optim\u0103, pe toat\u0103 perioada de vegeta\u0163ie, din pricina ritmului intens de cre\u015ftere \u015fi a frunzi\u015fului bogat, care pierde prin transpira\u0163ie cantit\u0103\u0163i destul de mari. \u00cen lipsa apei, rozetele de frunze sunt mici \u015fi \u00eemb\u0103tr\u00e2nesc repede. Spanacul se cultiv\u00e3 pe soluri bine preg\u0103tite, mijlocii sau u\u015foare, fertile, bogate \u00een humus, drenate, cu mare capacitate de re\u0163inere a apei \u015fi bine expuse la soare.<br \/>\nFlorile sunt galben-verzui, cu diametrul 3\u20134 mm.Spanacul con\u0163ine ap\u00e3, albumin\u00e3,hidra\u021bi de carbon,gr\u00e3simi,acid oxalic,carotenoide,vitamina B1,vitamina B2,vitamina B3,vitamina B6,vitamina E,fier,potasiu,calciu,cupru,magneziu,sodiu,fosfor, zinc.<br \/>\nPreparatele din frunze de spanac ac\u021bioneaz\u0103 ca un produs medicinal, contribuind la profilaxia sau ameliorarea unor afec\u021biuni, precum:hipertensiunea arterial\u0103, tusea, avitaminoza, scorbutul, rahitismul, acneea, anemia. I se atribuie spanacului \u0219i rolul de activator al secre\u021biilor pancreatice. Sucul de spanac este o form\u0103 mai gustoas\u0103 \u0219i mai nutritiv\u0103 de a consuma frunzele de spanac, congelat sau g\u0103tit, spanacul \u00ee\u0219i pierde o parte din propriet\u0103\u021bi, \u00eei scad propriet\u0103\u021bile vitaminizante \u0219i antioxidante. Datorit\u0103 propriet\u0103\u021bilor sale nutritive, spanacul este recomandat \u00een alimenta\u021bia copiilor care se afl\u00e3 \u00een perioada de cre\u0219tere, dar \u0219i \u00een alimenta\u021bia bolnavilor.<br \/>\nSpanacul g\u00e3tit este mai bogat \u00een nutrien\u0163i decat cel crud, av\u00e2nd de \u0219ase ori mai mul\u0163i antioxidan\u0163i.
